REGENERATIVE MEDICINE

Regenerative medicine is truly one of the medical miracles of our time. 3H offers three, which involve extracting the equine’s own blood and prepping it for reintroduction back into the body as an anti-inflammatory agent to reduce chronic pain. By stimulating the body’s own mechanism to repair, it has the power to alter the course of chronic disease…away from deterioration, toward restoration. Since regenerative therapies use proteins already existent within the equine’s body, they are completely drug free and minimize risks of rejection or transmission of disease. Only after consultation and evaluation can your veterinarian advise you regarding which would be most beneficial for your horse, but considering these questions will help you be an informed partner in the decision.

  • PRP

    • Has your equine suffered a tendon or ligament injury or both?

    • Harvesting PRP (platelet rich plasma) takes only minutes and can definitely help. How? Platelets are sources of growth factors, which when released, activate the synergistic process for regeneration. It is an efficient therapy, developed to improve the quality of healing and reduce the time it previously long time it took to heal. While it most commonly used after tendon and ligament injury, success has been observed with degenerative diseases and soft tissue repair (epithelialization) as well.

  • Pro-Stride

    • Would you like to provide immediate relief from pain in one injection, expected a last up to a year?

    • A single injection is finally here! Pro-Stride is genuinely a “super-charged” mix of cells, platelets, growth factors and anti-inflammatory proteins, concentrated within plasma. It is a most efficient therapy since it can be administered by ambulatory vets, requires only a one 30 minute visit, and has been developed to slow cartilage degradation, improve mobility and provide pain relief for arthritic patients.

  • IRAP

    • Would you like to delay the progression of Degenerative Joint Disease in your horse?

    • IRAP- (Interleukin-1 receptor antagonist) is both an exciting and promising therapy delivered in a patented syringe, but all IRAP products are not the same. We recommend the injections be localized to the joint, to block the receptors to inflammation, thereby shutting down the damage caused by these crippling diseases, including osteoarthritis
